Wallidan and their old foes Real de Banjul had played a barren goal less draw yesterday in a closely contested match, played at the Banjul mini stadium. Both teams, losses big opportunities to took a giant step in their quest to win the Gambia Football Federation’s Division 1 League Championship.
A win for Wallidan could’ve opened a four point lead for them at the summit of the league while a reverse of that would’ve seen the whites leading the table standings for the first time this season.
Wallidan dominated much stanzas of the encounter, but they were lacking the cutting edges to break a strong Real de Banjul defence which consists of experience Gregory Sambou, the indefatigable James Gomez, rocky Mbaye Faye and Alagie Jawara.

Wallidan FC, faithfuls, were all on their toes. Their voices were reverberating all over the Banjul mini stadium but the assistant referee spotted Abdoulie in an offside position and he waves his flag for an offside to the dismayed of many Wallidan FC faithfuls.
Wallidan FC, are still the drivers of the Gambia Football Federation’s Division 1 with twelve points. Two points ahead of Second place Real de Banjul who are with ten points.
