ABDOULIE MANKEH SNATCHES A WIN AT THE DEATH FOR SKY POWER AGAINST STAR LIGHT

Abdoulie Mankeh, scored a dramatic 90+3 minute winner to earned Sky power a famous win over Star Light at Farato football field.

Group A second matchday of Farato Senior League season, saw an intriguing match with the 2014 champions Sky power travelling to Farato football field to face Star light side as fans show up with their T-shirts and spectectors while Democracy is fulled to it’s capacity.

Both teams has started their Saturday evening encounter without a win. The tempo of the match was high as Sky Power, were playing a high pressing game, running after every ball, closing star light down and forcing errors from the lights who struggled to cope with the intensity.

Capitain Modoulamin Fadera was causing all kinds of problems in the left and sky power again went close as the Capitain found himself in space in the box after wonderful skills by Abdoulie Mankeh, but Dawda Fadera threw himself in the way of the ensuing shot to save his team.

Omar Bojang and Modou L. Gassama who where very solid in star light defence, and making the evening difficult for Sky power striker’s. Sky power were the dominant side in the terms of possession, and their intent was good in their every attacked as the first 45th minutes ended 0-0.

Star light came with an early substitution into the second half to help striker Abdou G. Barry after being frustrated of not having shot on target as Sky power brought in Lamin Sibi and Samsidou Bojang to help their side in attack as they kept star light in a one way traffic, involving Kalifa Badjie, Alaige Njie and Abdoulie Mankeh in Star lights half and were asking tricky questions.

With just eight minutes from time, Ebrima Menteh had a guilt-edged opportunity as Modoulamin Fadera’s cross found the Sky Power forward Adama Korteh near the penalty spot, but his weak shot was easily saved.

Kalifa Badjie creates it with a sublime pass into the feet of Ebrima minteh from just inside the attacking half, the winger looked up and spotted Abdoulie Mankeh, who sweeps it into the far corner with a clearer max fashioned from 23 yards in 90+3 minutes to broke the hearts of Star Light faithfuls.

There were wild scenes at the final whistle as jubilant manager Saikou Fadera joined his player’s on the pitch and fan’s cerebrating their victory.

The group leaders Nema United who are with 6 points will play against 1 points Star light 10/02/19 while Sky power with 3 points will battle with 1 points Morri kunda on the 6/02/19.
