Ebrima Joof scored a last gag equaliser to cancelled out Gambia University’s Mam Mbanbayick Hall 40th minutes opener.
University of The Gambia (UTG) football team, played their opening match of the West Coast Regional Football Association (WCRFA) Third Division League against German Gambia, at the Brikama mini stadium.
UTG football club were the first to settled in the match, causing lot of troubles for the German Gambia defence. Modou Lamin Njie and Alpha Bah were all on song as they were constantly pressing German Gambia center back partnership duo of Louie Gomez and Abdou Sarr with their marauding runs and dribbling skills.
Despite their dominance UTG couldn’t convert their chances into goals until in the 40th minutes, when Mam Mbanyick Hall, pounced on a rebound to broke the deadlock.
After recess, German Gambia were the better side. They dominated possession, with their short and incisive passes.
Substitutes, Abdoulie Suma and Ebrima Joof combined scored the most important equaliser for German Gambia. German Gambia speedy winger Suma, raced passed UTG’s left full-back Lasana Sumareh and cut the ball for Ebrima Joof to hammered it home.
