Former Samger FC striker Yahya Ndong, scored a last gash winner for the defending champions Gamtel Gamcel in their 1-0 win against the Real de Banjul.
Real de Banjul faced a rejuvenated Gamtel Gamcel side who were just fresh from battering Tallinding United 2-0. The whites are inconsistent this season and even their sensational forward Pa Modou Sohna could not inspire them to win against Gamtel.
The telecommunications giants left it late to broke the deadlock in the dying minutes of the regulation time. Real de Banjul defender was alleged to brought foul Gamtel’s Baboucarr Cherno Jallow in the box and central referee pointed to the spot to the dismayed of Real de Banjul players and fans.
