Sanneh On Hard Struggle To Succeed In Belgium: “The Places Are Expensive, But That Is The Case Cn A Big European Club”

It seems to be a learning season for Bubacarr Sanneh.

The Gambian top purchase of eight million euros has not been on the basis of Anderlecht for months. He tells his story on the website of his previous club, FC Midtjylland.

Sanneh did have some adjustment problems. “I had never been to Belgium before and everything was new to me, and football was also different: a different competition and a higher level than Danish, but it’s a bit faster,” he says.

And he did not expect that so many teams would compete for the top places. “In Denmark you have three teams that are fighting for the title, but in Belgium everyone seems to be able to win, nothing is decided beforehand”, according to the defender, who calls Anderlecht big in all areas.

“You have people who do everything for you, as a player you just have to focus on your performance, the places in the team are expensive, but that’s just like a big European club,” says Sanneh. “I just have to train harder, I keep following my dreams, I’m not the type that gives up.”
