It all started at home to a local club called Manterna Football club where Felix Joking Mendy started his footballing career winning three trophies during his time with the club before moving to Jam city united in 2009 for a single season and capture the attention of Gambia Ports Authority during the tenure of Bono Johnson as the boss of the football team but its so unfortunate for the talented lad injuries struck the player for the rest of the season .
Though in truth, the attacker who is known for his scoring form has proof a lot with his skill on the ball bless by God. And after that season Felix Joking move to Bissau to look for better environment of football where he won an FA CUP trophy with a Bissau base team called KACHUGO FC a first division side in Bissau in his first season.
When speaking to logic sport, the attacker said,’’the road was too rough for me knowing the fact that football is my profession before you reach the level you want in life.
You most expected a lot of challenges ahead of you but I thank God for winning a trophy here in Bissau. though am still fighting hard to see my self as a professional in time to come and represented my country the Gambia as well.
Football is my dream and I want to meet my dreams as soonest’’ . Also, when ask how to compare to the two leagues of Bissau and the Gambia ‘’ In Bissau there is a lot of opportunities’ you have a lot of scouts coming to different training grounds to search for players to see them out to Portugal but in The Gambia, we have talents but that chances are very small but the league is competitive ‘’ he concluded
