Tujereng United have secured top spot in group A of the 2018-2019 West Coast Region third division league after thumping Berewuleng 2-0 in the week-seven fixture played at the Tujereng football field, on Friday.
They opened the scores through former Tanjeh United combative midfielder Yankuba Sanyang alias Yankubanding in the fifth minute of the game before netting the second goal in the 93rd minute to complete his brace.
Sanyang’s double inspired the Tujereng-based team to a resounding win over the Brikama-based club to maintain their second division league promotion aspirations.
Tujereng are now four points ahead of second place Berewuleng after their back to back victories in the league campaign. They now bagged 18 points in seven league matches and Berewuleng with 14 points after seven games with two more matches to go before the end of the league season.
Tujereng United will now play away to Kunkujang friends on Saturday before traveling to Berending for their final group match.
