Wallindan football Club returns with a win over Samger fc in the weekends fixtures in the on going GAMBIA FOOTBALL FEDERATION division one league at the BAKAU INDEPENDENCE STADIUM. Coming into this game coach Foday Bah made two changes to the starting eleven, L Colley in for Salim and Pro for Alie .
Wallidan Fc previously triumph over ferry boys by 2 goals to 1 at the KG5 mini stadium in Banjul while samger on the other hand settled for a draw against Tallinding United .
Beginning of the game saw both team trying to settle down with few inter passes and maneuvers to exploit the weakness of the opponent, samger having lion share of the ball after 12 minuets of the game. A clear chance did come at the 16th and 20th minutes for Samger which Samger’s striker couldn’t utilize and sent it wide off the post.
Sawo broke the deadluck in the 33rd minutes with a simple tap with the assist of Ous Sillah to give Wallidan the lead going to the break.
After the Break Pedro did not take long to show his presence on the field when he buried a second for Wallidan fc , thus another assist from Ous Sillah again in the 55th minutes.
Samger letting the pressure pilling on them tried to avert continues attack from wallidan but their efforts prove futile to the hungry Wallidan players. Samger where later reduced to 10 men after the sending off Daddy Camara in 58th minutes. Wallidan substitute came in the 68th min when Vardy Gibba came in for Pro and the 78th min when salim came in for Sawo.
Samger later pulled 1 back in the 83rd min as they set to redeem themselves by mounting dying minutes pressure on the wallidan fc. Wallidan capitalised on the off position of the samger players who where busy on mounting pressure to equalise to slot in the third goal by Vardy Gibba in the 90th min by a assist from Ous Sillah.
Wallidan now seats in fourth position in the league table with 28 points while Samger in the 13th position with 16 position, Samger now lay at the bottom of the table with psv welingara at last position.
Wallidan Fc will take on Gamtel the telecom boys in their next fixtures whiles Samger Fc take on Brikama united.
