The Game commenced with both team in their traditional outfit, Fortune in their white and green and the city boys in their blue jersey. It began with both team sizing each other through the first 15th mins, With some brilliant connections, interchanges from different angles and superb individual manoeuvres.

With Fortune fc dominating the proceedings with Good interchange of balls upfront, Patrick Sylva and Musa Njie connecting well and Bully Drammeh looking very determined, shows that they were in for it. Lefoe and Tijan Marr were outstanding in the midfield, their best following their recent form. They pressed hard to take the lead but Banjul united defenders were up to the task as they avert every attack by the petroleum boys.

The first chance came in the 24th mins as Patrick Sylva blazed it wide. Finally the deadlock was broken in the 43rd mins as Bully Drammeh scored with fine short giving his team the lead. They went to the break with fortune in control.

Game resumed and into the 55th mins not threat from both sides. Banjul united played cautiously while fortune determined to hold on to their lead. In the 71st mins Banjul united were down to 10-men after a red card from the central referee.

Muhammed Sambou had a good chance in the dying mins, but his weak effort could not trouble the banjul goalie . It ended at the brikama box bar mini stadium 1 nil in favour of Fortune football club.
