Gunjur United, smacked Serekunda East Bi 2-0 over the weekend in the ongoing Gambia Football federation division two league played at the Independence Stadium in Bakau on Friday 3rd of May 2019
The South boys Gunjur united lost to the Serekunda East -based team 1-0 in the first-round of the league at their home soil in Serekunda east prior to their weekend encounter.
They required a victory to maintain their first division promotion hopes alive and scored two goals without Serekunda East Bi responding to land a resounding win. Salifu bojang alias ‘’Bapa ‘and Kansidia Touray alias ‘’Challa’’ were on target for Gunjur United in the match.
East Bi pressed for an equaliser but couldn’t penetrate Gunjur United’s solid defence line. The South boys have now 36 points in twenty-three league matches and Serekunda East Bi gather 24 points after twenty-three league fixtures.
