The Brikama team, Bombada, hammered Lions of Banjul 5-2 over the week in week twenty-four match played at the Brikama Box Bar Mini Stadium to bounce back in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation (GFF) second division league.
They slipped to Steve Biko 2-1 in their previous league game before facing the Banjul-based club, who are suffering bottom-place in the second tier. Both sides needed maximum points to better their status in the league standings.
Bombada notched in five goals and Lions of Banjul managed to net two to earn a convincing bounce back in the league. They now secured 39 points in twenty-four league matches and Lions of Banjul with 17 points after twenty-four matches.
