THE BATTLE IS ON AS GAF, BRIKAMA UNITED AND REAL DE BANJUL ALL EYEING LEAGUE CROWN

It’s getting interesting in the ongoing Gambia football federation domestic league football with only a single point separating Gambia Armed Forces, Brikama United and Real de Banjul.

Gambia Armed Forces a side that is yet to test a defeated in the domestic league is on a strong footing of wining the league crown after bagging 38 points drawn 14 league matches, won 8 and lost 0 as at now.

There closest Challengers Brikama United (Saatayba) boys bagged 37 points with only a point behind league leaders Gambia Armed Forces . Brikama United has won 9 matches ,draw 10 and lost 3 games .

The side has gone almost 7 years now without a league trophy but this season is tip by many to be one of their season judging from the players and the support from Brikama United management .

The city-boys ‘’ Real De Banjul are with 36 points. The three teams will be hoping to win their remaining matches to fancy their chances of clinching the league title.

Meanwhile Banjul United, Samger and PSV Wellingara are all wrestling for survival in the country’s top flight following their dismal performance in the league campaign.

The Banjul-based team are occupying third-place from bottom in the league with 20 points while the Academy boys are seated second-place from bottom with 18 points and the Wellingara club’’ PSV’’ are languishing bottom-place with 16 points.

The three clubs are yet to be save in the league and they might be blessing that chances to either sporting real or Waa Banjul after putting some great performance in division two league football.
