The blue boys Wallidan football club Were hosted by the Bakau Based BK Milan Football Club in a very contested encounter held at the Independence Stadium on Sunday 19 May 2019.
Wallidan fc are currently at 5th position with 32 points out of 23 games played whiles BK Milan are seated in 8th position with 30 points after 23 games.
BK Milan from their previous outings managed to salvage 3 points in 3 consecutive draw matches after been beaten by the Satay baa boys (Brikama United) by a goal to nil.
The record champions Wallidan fc on the other hand triumphed over the red devils Hawks fc by 3 goals to nil, lost to Real De Banjul 3 nil in their previous encounters before drawing with BK Milan. They’ve met only twice in the league and both matches ended in a draw.
The game was an evening match and both teams were up to it, with either teams looking for a win to distance themselves from the bottom half of the table standings.
There where not much chances created as both teams battled each other physically and mentally. The ball went from one end to the other without troubling the keepers
In the 39th Wallidan’s Bocande Missed a seater as his shot hit the post. Wallidan fc players penalty appeal was turned down by the referee minuets before the break as the referee signalled for the match to continue. Bk Milan putted up some pressure also but nothing to count for, so it was zero’s to the break. After the break it was the same pattern of play as both team not allowing each other the chance to break their defence.
It got much physical in the dying minuets of the game as players got injured and the game been halted. It ended zero’s as both teams settled for a draw.
