The defending champions Gamtel football club suffer a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the ferry-boys (Gambia Ports Authority) at the independence stadium in Bakau on Saturday night 26th May 2019.
The victory has now move Gambia Ports Authority on 8 position in the table standing, They’ve now won 7 matches,drawn 10 and lost 5 along the way and are with a total of 31points. Whiles their rivals Gamtel Fc are in 10th place. They’ve won 7 of their domestic league matches, lost 8 and are with 30 points .
The defending champions ‘’Gamtel fc’’had a bad spelled in the first round of the domestic league but regrouped themselves in the second round and gathered some vital along the way.
Gamtel might be only playing for finishing on a better noted but never the title chase as real de Banjul, Gambia Armed Forces and Brikama united all eyeing for the crown at the end of the domestic league football.
On the other hand, Gambia Ports Authority will be fighting to be part of the top 5 in the table standing with only three more games to spare in the national division one league . As it ended 2–nil for Gambia Ports Authority.
