2ND INFANTRY FC AND JAM CITY SETTLE FOR A DRAW IN DIVISION TWO LEAGUE

2nd infantry football club settle for a 1 all draw against Jam City united in the ongoing Gambia Football Federation Division two league. In a match played on Tuesday 28 May 2019 at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.

After hammering Gunjur united in match day 25 Of the Domestic league by 5 goals to 1, the south Boys Jam city united couldn’t replica that kind of performance after opening the scoring in the 20th minutes through John Gibba following a beautiful pass from Malang Jammeh.

Moments later ,2nd infantry responded with a leveller from Sang Pierre Mendy with a simple tap in the 35th minutes. Malang Jammeh 57th minuets came close to adding a second for Jam city with a screaming shot that went wide off the cross bar.

Jam city are still in 6th position in the table standing after 27 league matches with 38points, won 10, draw 7 and lost 9 whiles 2nd infantry is still battling for survival in the league with 26 points, won 6, draw 8 and lost 12 in 27 league outings.

Though this was a game that 2nd infantry should have collected the maximum points but were wasteful in the second part of the match as it ended 1 all in regulation time.
