RELEGATED SAMGER HELD GAF TO A GOALLESS DRAW

Samger football club has been confirmed relegated to the second division league following their frustrating goalless draw against the Kaki boys (Gambia Armed Forces), in a game played on Saturday the 1st of June 2019, at the independence stadium in Bakau.

Gambia Armed Forces drew with Banjul United before this encounter, they started the match well and created a lot of golden opportunities against Samger but all their efforts went futile.

Samger also had their moments, through Madi Ngum with a fine header that went direct into the hands of goalie Baka Ceesay on the 44 minutes. Ten Minutes later, Bai suck laid off a brilliant pass to Saihou Ba Ceesay with a shot that went just inches wide from the post.

The Kaki boys are currently seated 3rd with a point of 39, won 8 matches, lost 1 and draw 15 whiles Samger who were the champions of Division two last season had a bad spelled this season. They are still in the relegation zone despite their stalemate against GAF FC with only 2 wins, draw 12 and lost 10 with points of 18.

Both Samger and Psv Wellingara are all relegated to Division two league football Next season. As it ended goalless between Gaf and Samger Football club.
