Mustapha Njie made his comments Following the one all draw between Bombada Football Club and Gunjur United in the final match of the Gambia Football Federation division two league, played on Monday the 17th of June 2019 at the box bar Mini Stadium in Brikama.
Speaking to logicsport shortly After the the game, captain Mustapha Njie said ‘’ it was not a bad performance looking at the first half. We fought hard with a lot of goal scoring chances but unfortunately, we didn’t capitalise on those chances. We had a penalty which I took but unfortunately i missed it.
In the first half, we were leading with a goal and in the second half Gunjur united punished us for not been clinical in front of goal. They later levelled the scores’’.
When ask after missing that spot kick how he felt, he said ‘’seriously am disappointed my fans were expecting me to scored that goal but sorry for not scoring that vital kick ‘’.
Captain Njie further said ‘’ with the quality players we have in our ranks, seriously we shouldn’t have finish in 4th place in the table standings.We have a lot of problems that is really affecting the team from the Management down to the players that contributed to the club’s performance ‘’ He concluded.
