The west coast regional coach’s association just concluded a four-days intensive rehabilitation programme for coaches and physiotherapist at the box bar mini stadium in Brikama.
The training program attracted 28 members across west coast region. The rehabilitation Program was initiated by Daughters of Africa in partnership with west coast coaches association.
Shortly after the program, logic sport caught up with the president of the west coast regional coaches association Lamin Sambou on how important is the training program. He said ‘’ it is important in the sense that most of this Physios don’t have any formal training as nurses or physical eduction programs. We also included coaches as well for them also to have a little knowledge of the profession.
” We want them to be more efficient and equipped on how to handle an injured player or any other emergency or complication on the pitch.
Which is all about rehabilitation to football in west coast region. It’s important most especially to west coast regional coaches, who are young and new into the game did not have this type of training .
So this is why we deem it necessary to involve them this time around , so that they can have the idea and see how to handle or approach a player during the Game’’ He concluded
