Following his first invitation by the sport committee of Madiana Village in a final Between Saateba United and Check point football club, expressed his satisfaction following the successfulness of the tournament shortly after the awarding ceremony of the finalist.
The third vice president of the Gambia Football Federation Lang Tombong Tamba who also is the chairman of the super nawettan organinsing committee Said in an interview with Logicsport, ‘’am very much impressed because there are certain elements that helped to developed football, one commitment, discipline, coaches and Fans.
“To be honest, the kind of turnout that I see here today and I think I have been to so many matches, but hardly I see that kind of turnout. Even our league matches. The turned out I see here today, hardly you find it in our domestic league”.
“it shows that the people of Madiana village really love football and they are ready to give their best to support football”. At first football tournaments were played in the greater Banjul areas but now you can see football has gone to the door’s steps well isolated communities.
From what I have seen here today just indicates that there are good talents in sub communities across regions in the Gambia. All that is needed is assistance and i want to encourage club owners to be visiting this small town tournaments, they might find good talents there to recruit and help them to developed for the benefited of the country he concluded .
