FORMER REAL DE BANJUL ATTACKER -BUN SANNEH HIGHT LIGHTING HIS CAREER DEVELOPMENT

The former real de Banjul center forward Bun Sanneh now trading his football in Dakar’s topflight league football with generation foot football club shed light on his career with Logicsport during the weekend. The Center forward, started his footballing career in Brikama Nawettan football with Greater Tomorrow under the guidance of Coach Benjamin.

There on he caught the attention of real de Banjul in 2014 before switching to generation foot football club. where he won 5 to 6 trophies and they are the current league champions of 2018-19 season in Dakar league. The center forward is currently in the Gambia on holiday day break . Talking to logicsport how it all started for him as a player ‘’ everything started here at box bar and everything was crazy by then ,not having boots to play and putting on plastic shoes .

it’s a hard journey and not easy to be honest . I started at the Brikama Nawettan with Greater tomorrow before i was recruited by the all whites Real De Banjul in 2014, and because of patients and listening to the coaches i played under and hard work, that’s what brought me this far. We were crown as the league champions with players like Steve, timber, Buba Sanneh, Germano and Lamin Jallow during the 2013/2014 season. we played some league games and I was the youngest player during that period’’.

When further ask how will he compared the two leagues, he responded. ‘’it’s a different stage in the Gambia, things are just crazy in football, there are no scouts to watch you that can help you to further your football here in the Gambia”.

“But in Senegal there are more chances there, so many scouts come there and the league is very competitive. You have some many scouts that will come and visit you to see what you can do and may stand chance for a trial in European countries like France ,Belgium ,Germany and Spain . it’s more easier then the Gambia to be honest’’ .

The Center forward also went on to talk about his treatment in his club generation foot ‘’ it’s good and great am here for 4good years .so I have experienced a lot in Dakar and here is my second home. My mum is from Senegal, so it’s like half and half.

In the Gambia you have lot of talents than Senegal, but in Dakar it’s too hard. Your physic counts a lot as games get much physical at times. Though in the Gambia, you train once but in Senegal you have to train twice a day to cope with the system because it’s too hard to be honest.

However, with talent you can do it in Senegal , but talent alone can’t get you there. You have to be mental fit also. And to me it’s a process for every year, trying win trophies in the competition. I have won 5 to 6 trophies with Generation foot ‘’ Sanneh concluded.
