Old-Hands scourged Global Football team 6-1 in Global Property 6 a side Football tournament

The Global Property sponsored 6 a side football tournament on Saturday July 13th, kicked-off at the Elite football pitch, between Global football team and Old hands football team.

It was in the early minutes of the game that Old-Hands forward Lamin Jaiteh alias Klinsmann, tapped in 1.

But Global football team quickly responded with a Mamudou Jallow shot into the roof of the net.

The veterans were very composed, possessive of the ball and therefore dominated the game.

Old-Hands winnger Amadou Sallah dribbled passed two players, came one on one with the Global football team goalie Edmond Gomez but stuck the ball at the left bottom of the bar and went out.

Sallah was again denied by keeper Gomez after he lashed the ball 3 metres away from the 18 yard box.

Atlast, Sallah finally broke the dead luck and scored.

It was a goal festival. Old-Hands full-back Omar Touray got his name registered on the score sheet and was followed by Lamin Jaiteh making it his second in the afternoon.

Midfielder Mamady Secka of the Old-Hands fired a remarkable shot from his half right into the Global football team goal post, a goal worthy for the Puskas.

Lamin Jaiteh was not content with his double but went for another, scoring the first hat trick of the tournament.

The best player on the pitch Amadou Sallah add his second making it 6-1.

In the dying seconds of the match, Global football team lone goalscorer Mamadou Jallow triggered a long range shot but it went high.

The match ended 6-1 in favour of the veterans.

The second match was between GPC Football team and Sawalo Football team in which GPC smashed Sawalo 7 goals to 3.

Speaking to Logic news, the tournament organizer Ousman “Zoh” Ngum said “the main purpose of the tournament is to keep the society fit and healthy, mostly especially the elderly folks and the middle aged.”
