Global Property 6 a side football tournament: Hatib Janneh’s hatrick inspired GNPC to reach semi final.

An irony it was on Saturday evening after Hatib Janneh not only played against his own companies, Seaview and Bamboo hotels but scored them a hatrick that led his side GNPC to the semi finals of the Global Property 6 a side football tournament at the Elite football ground.

Scorpions legendary goalkeeper George Lobber was fixed at the heart of the GNPC defense and was quite technical at the back.

Seaview/Bamboo hotel winger Babucarr Chow opened the scores with an out side shot.

But GNPC midfield maestro Ricky Nachif, quickly reacted with a stunning half volley at the edge of the Seaview/Bamboo 18 yard box leveling the scores 1-1.

Malick Jobe stood from the right wing and scored for the hoteliers, giving them lead once again.

But that was soon cancelled by his boss Hatib Janneh who’s shot hit the cross bar and landed into the goal post.

GNPC winger Khalil Khanu tried several shots from the out side but couldn’t find the net.

During the second half, GNPC made a tactical change by bringing George Lobber back to the goal post. They were more composed and formidable.

There was no exception. Hatib Janneh wasn’t even spared by his employees as several hard tackles were made on him before he could complete his hatrick. GNPC therefore won Seaview/Bamboo 4-2.

Final score

In an interview with Logic Sport news, Hatib Janneh revealed that “i feel really good scoring a hatrick against my employees,” he said with a smile.

“Well i’m doing it for fun, trying to keeping fit and healthy” he concluded.

GPNC will be locking horns with Global FC on Saturday 3rd August, at 6pm GMT, at the Elite football ground.
