THE PRESIDENT OF KOMBO CENTRAL-2 ALIEU JARJU APPLAUDS THE GFF FOR INCLUDING HIS ZONE IN THE ZONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.

The president of Kombo Central-2 sport committee under the leadership of Alieu Jarju and the entire Sport committee applauded the Gambia Football Federation for including his zone to the 2019-20 Super- Nawettan Championship which is competed by GFF Zones.

Central-2 is a zone that comprises of villages within Kombo Central District. Speaking to reporters following the inclusion of his zone -Alieu Jarju Said,’’ it’s no more a secret that we are part of the zonals because we have applied for a long time and we were accepted, which is a plus for us’’.

When further asked by reporters upon hearing the news how was it like for the entire sport committee, ‘’we are glad and we worked for it because playing at our home environment makes us stay here and we felt that we should do a little bit more to apply for our admission to the zonal championship to be better expose as well. And that’s what we did. We started at our own area ,we had a tournament competition and it was successful .When we apply to the super Nawettan organizing Committee, they believed in what we have been doing and they accepted us’’.

Alieu Jarju finally concluded about his team being new to the system of the competition. ‘’ Newcomers to be part of the tournament yes, but we are not new to what we are doing. Central-2 is an area that is known for having very good talented players since those days up to date’’.
