Makann Bi Draw Late E Sowe, Black Diamond Relegates

Struggling Makann Bi held Late Ebou Sowe to a goalless draw on Tuesday to avoid the drop in the ongoing Canon sponsored Banjul League Nawettan 2019.

The results suit both sides as Late E Sowe join group leaders FC Warriors to qualify to the quaterfinals whiles Makann Bi avoid relegation after the completion of matches in Group D. Meanwhile Black Diamond finished bottom of the group and are relegated from the Nawettan after their maiden campaign following their successful qualify rounds campaign.

FC Warriors finish top of the group with a hundred percent record winning all three matches, scoring 6 times and conceding just once. Heat of Banjul alias Late Ebou Sowe finish second with 4 points whiles Makann Bi and Black Diamond finished third and fourth respectively. Now FC Warriors and Late Ebou Sowe have qualify to the last eight, Makann Bi and Black Diamond will now have to fight for the Bayba Financial Services sponsored Knockout Competition.

Revelation will play defending champions MacDonald United today at 4:30pm, in a make or break tie of Group A. Both MacDonald United and Revelation are on 3 points each going to this fixture. Meanwhile the final game of the group will be playing on Friday, as surprise group leaders London City 6 points will take on newly promoted Janta Bi who are without a point.
