Banjul Nawettan: Ousainou Trawally’s Header Sends Late E Sowe to League Final

Defender Ousainou Trawally’s 41st minutes header was all both enough to send Late Ebrima Sowe into the 2019 Banjul Nawettan League Final at the expense of Ajax on Saturday.

Central Defender Ousainou Trawally rose above the Ajax defense to head home Sering Modou Kebbeh’s cross, a goal that proves to be winner. Heart of Banjul as the are widely known as, are now in contention for the double. They are scheduled to face Jamesen in the Knockout Semi Final.

Ajax fought had for an equalize but Late E Sowe defense was resolute and the withstand all the pressure to reach their second final in two years as the game ended 1-0 in favor of Heart of Banjul. This follows their last year’s defeat to Jamesen in the Knockout final.

Meanwhile Jamesen and FC Warriors will renew their rivalry as the two gaints clash in the other Semi Final on Monday 21 October, 2019. Both teams are into the Semis of both trophies and will each be looking for the double this season.
