“True there were absentees, but that didn’t affect the team. You’ve watched the game. We hard couple of decent chances which we missed. Like i said earlier, luck was not on our side. It is a team, if anyone is absent, there will be a good replacement.”

Mendy who is awarded the best coach won three finals in a row with his former club Jantabi FC before joining Ruhagi. He took charge of Ruhagi barely three weeks prior to the “Nawettan” and brought them to final, making it four finals within three seasons.

“I want to tell the fans to be patient, this is football. It’s win or loose. I understand what it means to them. It was our effort and God that brought us this far Let’s go back and work together as a club and maintain the discipline, cos football is all about discipline. Moreover, we have a very young and determine side and i believe there are better shining days ahead.”
