The GFF first division league is at it’s tail end in the first round. With just a game to go, Hawks football club are 6th on the table after losing their previous match against Marimoo fc by a lone goal.
“we got couple of chances during the first half of the game but we didn’t take them and unfortunately we conceded a goal through a set-piece which was very disappointing because we have big guys who could have defended it, but it was lack of concentration” said Hawks assistant captain Madi Jarju
“Right now our morals are kinda down but coach Alieu Jagne is working on goal scoring and concentration.”
Hawks last won the league back in 1996, over two decades ago.
“Despite our position, we will push and close the gap because we are going for the league.”
Now with 15 points, they will be facing Wallidan fc on monday at KG5 in Banjul at 4:30 pm.
