GPA FC MIDFIELDER MUSTAPHA MINTEH: “I am definitely following all the precautions”

In the midst of the on going Covid-19 pandemic, Logic Sport News meets Gambia Ports Authority’s Mustapha Minteh.

“The Corona virus pandemic is very serious. For you to wake one day and be told to stop doing what you love doing the most is just unbearable. My world without football is nothing. This is my life.”

In order to maintain his fitness, Mustapha trains twice a day.

“I go on jogging to the beach and do some body workouts every morning and in the evening I focus on ball workout, because I need to maintain my fitness and be prepared at all times. This is one of the reasons why the coach gave each player a football.”

“Coach Sheik Adama Joof calls and checks on each player at least three times in the week and also offers advices.”

Despite on his trainings, Minteh is seriously taking the Covid-19 precautions.

“I am definitely following all the precautions. I make sure I wash my hands with soap and clean running water. I stay home, avoid large gatherings and always listening to news for updates. I am doing my best to stay safe.”

“It is so sad that there are people out there calling the Corona virus a hoax after seeing or hearing what is happening around the world. This is the reason why our mosques and churches, schools and so many businesses are shut down. People are dying every day. Some people are just negative and heartless.”

“Let us be positive and protect ourselves by following the precautions and we will be safe because Covid-19 is real.”
