Jarra West United FC has joined Essau United as the two regional clubs to GFF Second Division League men’s competition 2024/25.

Jarra’s Modou Lamin Saine separated the two sides when his closed range shot in the first minute was enough for them to grab a spot in the GFF second division league following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Garawol FC on Sunday 21st July 2024, at the late Ousman Saho Field in Old Yundum.

The LRR champions got off to a blistering start after Saine scored seconds into the start when the Garawol defense opened up woefully and the ball found its way to Saine who planted a low shot into the net.

Garawol pushed harder for an equalizer, leaving their defense exposed, allowing Jarra West United to create numerous chances, but poor finished, and the cross bar came to their rescue.

Jarra West United has joined Essau United FC and Young Africans to the second division, while Serekunda United maintained their status in the league after their 1-0 victory against Football Heros FC in the playoffs.
